This workshop is suitable for beginner to advanced artists.
Explore the captivating fusion of encaustic wax, textiles, and LED lighting to create a three-dimensional illuminated sculpture or lamp. Working with the gauzy delicacy of fabric and spunbonded fibres, you’ll discover how to create limitless translucent forms. LED lamps bring your creations to light, offering endless possibilities for design and expression. Whether you’re an artist or fibre arts enthusiast, this course will inspire you to push the illuminating, three-dimensional boundaries of what’s possible with encaustic, fabric and LED lighting.
All supplies, wax, and fabrics provided by instructor. Students will be given an option of one small LED lamp or Fairy String lights.
Class size is limited to 8 students for personalized attention.
Light snacks and drinks provided.
Accessibility: Elevator available on weekdays 8 am to 3:30 pm. Weekend students are required to climb two flights of stairs. Please advise instructor if accessibility is a concern.
